I’m Lauren Schnell, social cinematographer, storyteller, and professional observer of the in-between, specializing in 4K short-form video content and photography.
Shot By Schnell was born from a desire to tell stories differently. Less forced. Less filtered. Less posed. More intuition. More presence. More honesty. I care about what happens between the big moments just as much as the moments themselves.
I work almost invisibly, blending into the rhythm of your day so the story unfolds naturally. I’m drawn to texture, movement, contrast, and emotion. Shot entirely on iPhone in 4K, not because it’s trendy, but because it allows intimacy without intrusion.
I’m here to tell your stories, no matter how wild or unconventional, corporate or romantic, deep or artistic, because they deserve to expressed with a creative vision and cinematic lens.
How it works:
Booking
During the inquiry process, we decide together on how to craft your story, tailor your content needs, and communicate a plan that works for you. I answer any questions you have about my services, pricing, and process. Your booking and date are secured by a 50% non-refundable deposit and signed contract.
The Lead Up
As we approach your booking date, a questionnaire is sent to gather final details of your booking. This might include timelines, vendor lists, locations, styling details, storyboards, focus points, and music requests for your edited reels. One week prior to your booking, your final payment is due.
On The Day
I am personally onsite with you for the duration of your booking time. I arrive prepared, observant, and unobtrusive, blending seamlessly into your important day. Working with a creator’s eye and storyteller’s instinct, I film the raw, candid, and key moments in real time so you can stay fully present, knowing your memories and efforts are being preserved with care. It’s my job to work effortlessly and collaboratively with your photography and videography media team.
Content Delivery
A full gallery of raw, unedited footage and photographs will be delivered directly to you within 24 hours. All bookings include a sharable social media story highlighting the top moments from your day within 24-36 hours of your booking. To deliver the professional quality of editing that is the high standard expected of Shot by Schnell, your initial reel will be delivered within 48-72 hours of your booking. Additional reels will be delivered within 1-2 weeks of your booking, often sooner.
What’s Included:
Shot by Schnell books at an hourly rate, with a two hour minimum. All bookings include a tailored consultation, lead up questionnaire, a full gallery of raw, unedited footage and stills within 24 hours of your booking, a sharable social media story highlighting the top moments within 24-36 hours of your booking, an initial reel within 48-72 hours of your booking, and additional reels within 2 weeks of your booking.
2-4 hour shoots include 1 edited, ready-to-post reel.
4-6 hour shoots include 2 edited, ready-to-post reels.
6-8 hour shoots include 3 edited, ready-to-post reels.
8+ hour shoots include 4 edited, ready-to-post reels.
